Grease audition registrations now open!

We're excited to announce auditions for our 2026 production of Grease at the Ipswich Civic Centre, running from 12–20 September.

This iconic musical is full of energy, memorable songs, and 1950s charm. We are seeking versatile performers with strong acting, singing, and movement skills to bring the classic story of Danny, Sandy, the Pink Ladies, and the T-Birds to life.

Audition Dates: Sunday 3 and Monday 4 May 2026

🎤 Musical Theatre Open Mic Night- Broadway Smash Hits!

We’re excited to open applications for our first Musical Theatre Open Mic Night, kicking off on Friday night March 6 with the theme Broadway Smash Hits.

This is a welcoming, supportive performance evening for our musical theatre community. A chance to share iconic songs from the stage, stay performance-ready, and enjoy being on stage together.

To ensure a high-quality and enjoyable night for both performers and audience, the program will be curated.

🎶 How to Apply

Apply via our online application form with a video submission.

Performers are invited to prepare up to 2 Broadway musical theatre songs (maximum 5 minutes each). Solos, duets and trios are welcome. Videos must be single, unedited takes recorded within the last 6 months, with piano or backing track permitted.
A limited number of performance slots are available.

Whether you’re keen to perform or simply love supporting live theatre, join us for a night of Broadway favourites, encouragement, and community 🎶

We’re excited to introduce our Open Mic Nights. A welcoming performance evening for our musical theatre community.

It’s a chance to share songs, stay performance-ready, and enjoy being on stage together in a supportive, encouraging space. Whether you perform regularly or are returning to the stage after some time away, this night is about connection, confidence, and celebrating musical theatre. To help create an enjoyable experience for everyone, the evening will be thoughtfully curated.

We’ll be kicking things off with our first Open Mic Night in March, featuring a fun themed focus.

Our Junior program is led by a passionate creative team dedicated to building confidence, creativity and a love of performing. With experience across musical theatre and youth training, they create a fun, supportive environment where young performers can learn, grow and shine.

We can’t wait for our Juniors to work with this amazing team in 2026!

Does your child light up when they’re on stage? ✨

If they love to sing, dance or dive into the world of musical theatre, IMTC Juniors might be the perfect place for them!

Our program is designed for kids aged 6–16 who want to build confidence, learn new skills and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

Spots for 2026 are open now, and we’re excited to welcome new performers into the IMTC family.
Our first day back is 2nd February.

We’ve been lucky to be nominated again for a few Stage Buzzie awards this year for both A Little Night Music and Come From Away. Congratulations to all, and best of luck!

If you’ve got a bit of time this weekend and want to soak up something truly special, Carols in the Chapel has its final performance tomorrow at 3pm and there are still tickets available.

This year’s Underground Opera cast features the brilliant Rebecca Cassidy, Louise Dorsman, Ji Zhang and Jon Maskell, with maestro Mark Connors and producer Bruce Edwards bringing it all together. Bruce has been a great supporter of IMTC for decades, and we’re always proud to cheer on his work.

And if you go, don’t be surprised if you spot a couple of IMTC-friendly faces selling drinks at the bar! #undergroundopera
